Secondary Counseling Liaison Job Responsibilities: Works with Director of Student Services to ensure program coordination at respective level/school including the Comprehensive School Counseling Plan. Attends secondary building-level meetings as requested by the Director of Student Services. Supports school counselors in being informed about National, State and District school counseling standards and regulations. Support school counselors in being informed about current New York State graduation requirements and pathways. Provides leadership in the development, dissemination, and understanding of academic and post-secondary planning documentation. Supports the 6 to 7 and 8 to 9 transition processes. Supports the course selection process for students entering grades 7-12. Ensures that newly hired school counselors have scheduling documents and understand how to complete this process using Infinite Campus. Attends Academic Planning Night and Secondary level orientations. Attends Leadership Council meetings. Attends one summer day scheduled by the Superintendent or their designee. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or their designee. Evaluation: At least annually by the Superintendent or their designee. An unsatisfactory evaluation may result in the position being reassigned.
