ELL Summer Learning Program - Lead Teacher

The Lead teacher is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the ELL Summer Learning Program and facilitation of professional learning.

  • Minimum five years full time experience teaching ELL students
  • Previous experience as a lead teacher for an ELL summer school preferred
  • Evidence of regular and frequent participation in Professional Development for ELL teachers
  • Demonstration of leadership and presentation skills
  • Experience with utilizing and implementing a balanced literacy approach to teach language arts to ELL students

July, 2023:  2 Hour Training and Planning Meeting

3.5 Hour Site Preparation

August 7-24th: Summer School (8:00am – 12:00pm), Monday - Thursday (Student hours 8:45 - 11:45)

Summer - ELL Summer Learning Program - Classroom Teachers23-SUMMERELL-02

ELL Summer Learning Program - Classroom Teacher

The ELL Summer Learning School provides literacy instruction for current elementary and some secondary ELL students residing in the Brockport, Churchville, Hilton, Kendall and Holley Districts. The ELL summer school teachers will provide whole and small group reading and writing instruction to ELL students attending the program.  Those currently teaching in one of the following districts: Brockport, Churchville-Chili, Hilton, Kendall, Holley, and Wheatland-Chili are preferred.

  • Experience with Reader’s Workshop, including guided reading instruction, Writer’s Workshop and differentiated instruction
  • A desire to collaborate and learn more about teaching ELL students in a regular classroom setting
  • Knowledge of NYS ELA and Math Next Generation Standards

Summer - ELL Curriculum Development23-SUMMERELL-03

ELL Summer Learning Program - Curriculum Development

Open to Title III Consortium Districts (Hilton, Churchville-Chili, Wheatland-Chili, Brockport and Holley.  ELL teachers may apply to develop newcomer curriculum.  Curriculum must be completed by August 15th. 

 

$41/hour

ELL Summer Learning Program - Nurse

Administer medication and other treatments; manage health related and attendance data for students enrolled in ELL Summer Learning Program

Certified nurse to work August 7 - 24, 2023 Summer School (8:00am - 12:00p) Monday- Thursday.

Onsite preparation 2 hours the week prior, compensated with $1,440 stipend.
