The Hilton Central School District has a vacancy for an Assistant Principal's Secretary at the High School.   This is a 12 month, 7.5 hour/day position to support Assistant Principal and school clerical work.  This position requires the Civil Service title of Office Clerk III, therefore only those candidates who are currently working in this title, or whose name appears on the current Civil Service eligible list will be considered.

The Hilton Central School District has a vacancy for a 1.0 FTE Head Custodian position.  This is a supervisory custodial/maintenance position responsible for the efficient and economical cleaning and maintenance of school buildings.  General supervision is exercised over other staff such as Cleaners and Custodians. The typical hours for this position are 3:00pm-11:30pm, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Rotating weekends and/or holidays are required.  The position includes a generous benefits package, paid time off, and the opportunity to join the NYS Retirement System. Positive fingerprint clearance through the NYSED is required. 

Typical Work Activities:

Supervises and schedules the work of subordinates

Conducts inspections of maintenance activities to ensure they are performed according to regulations

Maintains an inventory of supplies

Ensure basic security of buildings

Conducts daily routine inspections of areas/equipment such as fan rooms, boilers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and swimming pools (leaks, pumps, etc.)
