Anticipated 1.0 FTE School Media Specialist, Long Term Substitute (Per Diem), @ High School (September - October, 2025)

Job Qualifications

Valid New York State School Media Specialist Certification is required.  Successful candidates will possess:

• A growth mindset, positive attitude, and leadership attributes
• NYS Library Media certification or enrollment in a graduate program leading to school library media certification
• Knowledge of information fluency continuum and inquiry-based learning
• Knowledge of young adult literature and promoting student literacy (including digital, media, and ICT literacies)
• Knowledge of instructional technology
• Ability to teach, use, and promote online databases and eBooks
• Ability to collaboratively plan with classroom teachers
• Knowledge of Google Apps for Education, Office 365 preferred
