The Hilton Central School District has a vacancy for a Special Education Assistant in the Learning Support Services Department. This is a 12 month, 7.5 hour/day position. This position requires the Civil Service title of Office Clerk III, therefore only those candidates who are currently working in this title or whose name appears on the current Civil Service eligible list, or meet minimum qualifications for Provisional Appointment* will be considered.
*The term provisional means that you will be required to take the next Civil Service examination for this title, and place among the top three (3) candidates on the examination list in order to be eligible for permanent appointment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER: (A) Two (2) years of paid full-time or its part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; OR, (B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree or successful completion of sixty (60) college semester credit hours; OR, (C) Any equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
